Taughtful Australia

About Taughtful

Australia's first ethical teacher tool using agentic RAG AI to support classroom differentiation and evidence collection.

Founder & Chief Product Architect

Eva McEntee - Founder of Taughtful

Eva McEntee

Taughtful was founded by Eva McEntee, an Australian educator with extensive experience working alongside teachers, students, and families in complex learning environments.

Before building Taughtful, Eva worked directly in classroom and school-adjacent roles supporting children experiencing trauma, disengagement, and unmet learning needs. Her work focused on helping teachers apply trauma-informed practice in real conditions — busy rooms, limited support, and high emotional demand.

Teachers were being asked to respond with therapeutic insight, cultural sensitivity, and policy awareness — often in moments of crisis — without the scaffolding to do so safely.

As Chief Product Architect, Eva designs Taughtful through a trauma-informed and educator-centred lens:

prioritising safety and predictability
reducing decision fatigue
avoiding pathologising language
embedding clear "do not" boundaries
supporting teacher judgement rather than replacing it

Consultancy & Governance

Accountability is built in — not added later

Taughtful is supported by a consultancy team that ensures cultural safety, ethical use of AI, and responsible data practices are embedded at the architectural level.

These roles are not advisory in name only — they shape how the platform is designed, constrained, and reviewed.

Aboriginal Cultural Advisor

Abbie-Rose Howard

Abbie-Rose Howard is a proud Aboriginal Jaru Woman and lifelong advocate for young people, culture, and community.

She brings deep cultural knowledge, lived experience, and a strong commitment to strengthening the connection between learning, identity, and wellbeing.

At Taughtful, Abbie guides our cultural safety practices and ensures Indigenous pedagogies are embedded with integrity — not as an optional layer, but as a foundational way of working with teachers and students.

Her leadership shapes:

  • how we design tools
  • how we listen to educators and communities
  • how we remain accountable to cultural context

Cultural safety at Taughtful is about responsibility, not representation.

AI Ethics & Data Policy

Jimmie Martin

Jimmie Martin brings expertise in AI ethics, data governance, and responsible technology policy, particularly in high-stakes public systems such as education.

At Taughtful, Jimmie oversees our AI ethics and data policy framework, ensuring the platform is:

  • transparent in how decisions are supported
  • bounded in what AI can and cannot do
  • aligned with Australian privacy and accountability standards

His role focuses on constraint, auditability, and human veto — not automation for its own sake.

This ensures Taughtful remains a decision-support system, not a black box.

Cultural Safety

Taughtful acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be.
